There Goes the Neighborhood

Posted: December 1, 2007 in The Roper Files

I’ve been at the same location ten years come New Years; since then I’ve watched this neighborhood shrink like a piece of plastic in the oven. Everytime some old man or old woman dies, down goes their 50-year-old house and up goes some pricey condo. Just like these apartments that have been here since I was in high school. I’m sure these will be replaced with condos no one I know (myself included) can afford to lease.

Couldn’t help but notice the neighborhood kids had knocked out all the windows of the bulldozer with rocks. Those little rascals; God bless ’em!
