REQUIEM FOR THE WEEKEND by Brian Roper

RIP Weekend

Oh noble weekend, you are so missed. We miss the freedom of getting out of bed when we want. we long for the endless cups of coffee; the hours spent in front of TV Land.

Having a choice of musical listening instead of being forced to hear the same thing everyday. We yearn for the time spent in restaurants instead of at work. We pine for the time spent with friends. We mourn the loss of freedom of movement, the walks around the neighborhood. Practicing  guitar instead of listening to petty complaints. Talking to friends instead of yelling at reckless assholes in traffic during our hellish commute.

Although you may be gone, you are not forgotten. You are as missed as you are loved. God bless you, weekend.
